December 2023 – The Provisional Government attended the XVI session of the United Nations Forum on Minority Issues
Dicembre 2023 – Il Governo provvisorio ha partecipato alla XVI sessione del Forum delle Nazioni Unite sulle questioni delle minoranze

On the 2nd December 2023 the Provisional Government of the Free Territory of Trieste has attended the XVI Session of the United Nations Forum on Minority Issues, organized by the United Nations in Geneva.
The Delegation attended as a State Delegation and included in the list of Governmental Organizations.
During the event, the Representative for the Provisional Government of the Free Territory of Trieste addressed the requests already made in the previous session, in the specific;
1. An Observer Status at the United Nations.
2. Valid travel documents to the citizens of the Free Territory of Trieste, ensuring their protection both within the Territory and abroad.
In addition, the Delegation provided details on the follow up actions for the Provisional Government in relation to point 2, as well as reporting on the current situation in the Territory.
The Provisional Government also informed the relevant bodies at the United Nations and provided details regarding the timelines for the creation, printing, and distribution of individual cards for Citizens of the Free Territory and for foreign residents in the area, aimed at protecting the collective rights of both categories.

In data 2 dicembre 2023 il Governo Provvisorio del Territorio Libero di Trieste, ha partecipato alla XVI Sessione Forum delle Nazioni Unite sulle questioni delle minoranze, organizzato dalle Nazioni Unite a Ginevra.
La delegazione è stata ricevuta come Delegazione di Stato e inserita nell’elenco delle Organizzazioni Governative.
Durante l’evento, il Rappresentante per il Governo Provvisorio del Territorio Libero di Trieste, è intervenuto per affermare le richieste formulate nella sessione precedente, nello specifico:
1. Richiesta di assegnazione di un Seggio da Osservatore presso le Nazioni Unite.
2. Richiesta di provvedere di fornire ai cittadini del Territorio Libero di Trieste, documenti validi per l’espatrio, al fine di garantire tutela agli stessi nel Territorio e all’estero.
In seguito il Rappresentante ha provveduto a fornire dettagli sui passi successivi che il Governo Provvisorio si impegna a portare avanti in riferimento al punto 2, oltre a riferire relativamente l’attuale situazione nel Territorio.
Il Governo Provvisorio si è in seguito impegnato a informare gli organi preposti presso le NazioniUnite, ed ha provveduto a fornire i dettagli delle tempistiche relative alla creazione, stampa e distribuzione di carte di generalità per i Cittadini del Territorio Libero e per Cittadini stranieri residenti nell’area, al fine di tutelare i diritti collettivi di entrambe le categorie.
